Accidentally popular - or - 15 minutes of blog fame
A blog for an online publication used a picture from a poston my blog and referenced it back here. The picture is of the scads of violets I had in bloom last year. Now I have scads of people visiting from The Atlantic.

Hiya, Tell me that they asked your permission first. Couldn't bear it if they didn't. But... I am grateful this happened or I would have missed that gorgeous photo. You are one star photographer.Do you realize that I have tried all Spring to get a portrait of my lovely violets? I would have sworn it can't be done. You disproved that. Fab. Now to the post.
All that unexpected company - it's fun and a little unsettling, isn't it? I had a similar experience with a post I made over a year ago about marzipan Easter eggs. I still get lots of traffic in spring!

The violets are gorgeous.
Hi Jo!
No, they didn't ask permission, but at least they gave me the credit :-)
It actually happens to be one of my more popular posts - I think because of the picture and the candied violet part.
Hi adrienne!
I remember your marzipan Easter egg post! I showed it to my daughter and we wished we were so talented :-)
And the violets are indeed gorgeous, but I can't take credit for them. They're wild - Mother Nature gets all the credit :-)
