I was behind on getting packages sent off to far-flung friends and relatives, but it's almost under control now. Then I can relax : )
We had some snow about a week ago, but it melted. At the moment all we have is frozen ground - the kind that crunches when you walk on it. I always feel guilty about walking on grass when it's in that state. I wonder if I'm breaking all of the little frozen grass blades.
Thanks for the lovely card and seasonal wishes! Merry Christmas to you - I hope it's warm and cozy.
Noticed you are about. Just as well that our life is 99% Xmas-free now. I don't think I could begin to cope. Will there be many of you round the table next Friday?
We are freezing here: thick, really thick ice. Seriously thinking of getting my old skates out. We flooded a sunken bit and to heck with the feeble blades of grass below :-) Haven't skated for years. We used to have an old clay tennis court and submerged that when it was cold enough. Just two or three inches of ice is enough to have fun with. Keep warm, but keep your cool.
I remember when I was little crossing the street and going behind the houses there to a little swampy pond which froze in the winter. I would get a pair of one of my sister's old skates (which were too big so we stuffed the toes with tissues) and we all would go skating with the neighbors.
The tradition ended when more houses were built back there and the swampy pond was no more.
Hope your sunken bit becomes a wonderful skating rink!

Hiya,
Don't let it get to you. Not worth it.
Hope everything falls into place just at the right moment. Lots of snow?
